Ortofon Announce 2M Black LVB 250 Cartridge

Ortofon is celebrating what would have been Beethoven's 250th birthday with the introduction of an exclusive version of its 2M Black cartridge. Ortofon's 2M Black LVB 250, as its name suggests, is an enhanced version of their much-praised 2M Black moving magnet cartridge featuring a new LVB 250 logo on the body and stylus sections.

The principle upgrade is in the cantilever material. The new cartridge features a precise Nude-Shibata diamond mounted onto a lightweight Boron cantilever. There is also a new suspension material in use, and the end result of the changes is a further step toward sonic perfection with a moving magnet design.

The 2M Black LVB 250 will land in the UK during early 2021, and a replacement stylus for upgrading 2M Bronze and 2M Black cartridges will also be coming soon.
