The VC-S3 RCMs is supplied with Pro-Ject’s Wash it 2 cleaning solution. Wash it 2 is a ready-to-use mixture, where the concentrated cleaning fluid is pre-mixed with demineralised water in an optimum ratio to achieve a perfectly clean record, extended vacuum motor life and ultimate convenience in use.
Made for advanced users with bigger record collections, and more time required for proper record cleaning. The VC-S3 is further improved upon its predecessor thanks to its new improved vacuum steam outlet, redirecting all exhaust fumes away from the lower record surface. Furthermore, this model provides superfast and super strong cleaning, completely drying records within 2 rotations. The addition of the big 2.5l tank helps store vacuumed cleaning liquid.

Now in the fourth generation, having made tweaks and changes to improve usability and efficiency, the VC-S3 and VC-E2 provide the best experience to date. The thing I like most about cleaning with these RCMs is the speed in which you can go from dirty record to actually listening to the cleaned vinyl. It takes the reluctance to start a lengthy process away and lets you simply run a record through it casually before you start listening, reducing the wear on your stylus and giving the best quality sound possible from your music.
The VC-S3 is equipped with a large 2.5l waste tank, but it is not designed to fill-up to a high-level with liquid. The 2.5l tank allows for a large amount of excessive fluid to be captured (more like 1l) without affecting the flow of air through the tank. Smooth air flow ensures a good vacuum process, so if the waste liquid level gets too high it would affect the vacuum process negatively.
However, with the VC-S3 when using our popular Wash-IT 2 fluid, you will almost never reach the MAX Level line, as our solution is designed to evaporate quickly - so you almost never need to drain any liquid from the tank.
