Record Puck S
Stabilise your records with this optimised record puck, perfectly suited for Debut, RPM 1 and X-Line models.

The Record Puck S ensures a secure fit between record and turntable. With two different finish options (painted black or polished "silver") it also perfectly fits the design of our turntables.

Record pucks use weight to secure a playing vinyl record against the turntable platter, and by holding the two together, the sound performance of the turntable can improve in timing and depth of sound.

With a weight of 315g, this solid aluminium puck is perfect for smaller turntables, as its reduced weight compared to our DS and RS-level pucks will put less burden on the turntable bearing, which will prevent the chance of increased rumble.

Options:

  • The key consideration when selecting the right record puck for your turntable is making sure you maximise the weight of the puck, without over-burdening the main bearing. If the puck you select is too heavy, it can put too much pressure on the bearing, which will increase rumble and will degrade the part quickly. 

    There is not an exact science to how to approach this in the Pro-Ject range, however, the below table gives a guide to our best recommended pucks for different turntables:
