Central to the Debut PRO B is the Aluminium one-piece tonearm, expertly crafted to combine rigidity with the damping benefits of aluminium. This lightweight yet sturdy arm is designed for precision, minimising interference and optimizing signal clarity. Audiophiles will appreciate the adjustable azimuth and VTA, allowing for precise fine-tuning. The tonearm is finished with a CNC-milled aluminium bearing block, high-purity copper internal wiring, and a shielded junction box with gold-plated RCA and MiniXLR outputs.
The Debut Pro B comes pre-installed with the Pick-IT PRO Balanced moving magnet cartridge, offering dynamic sound reminiscent of traditional SPU designs. A collaboration with Ortofon, the Pick-IT PRO Balanced cartridge is Pro-Ject’s first moving magnet cartridge capable of True Balanced audio output. When paired with a compatible phono stage and balanced cables, it ensures a clean, interference-free signal, maximizing audio performance.
Structurally, the turntable's anti-resonant MDF chassis is finished in luxurious satin white, while the AC motor is decoupled with a TPE-damped mounting plate to minimize vibrations. Adjustable, TPE-damped nickel-plated feet stabilize the platform, enhancing playback accuracy. The precision-engineered sub-platter and heavy aluminium platter with TPE damping further reduce unwanted resonances, ensuring smooth, stable playback.
With electronically regulated speed control, the Debut PRO B effortlessly switches between 33 and 45 RPM via a top-mounted rocker switch, and with a simple belt adjustment, it supports 78 RPM records.
