The Ortofon DS-3 digital stylus pressure gauge is a compact, ultra-precision instrument that tunes your tonearm to the highest possible degree and helps you enjoy music to your heart's content.

The digital stylus pressure scale is a precision instrument with a tolerence of +/-0.01g. The scales are factory pre-calibrated, allowing it to work quickly out of the box.

This product is no longer available to order and will not be coming back into stock.

In Stock products are those that are currently held in stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse. This stock status is updated regularly but is subject to change at very short notice.

Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.

Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.

Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.

The Ortofon DS-3 digital stylus pressure gauge is a compact, ultra-precision instrument that tunes your tonearm to the highest possible degree and helps you enjoy music to your heart's content.

    1. Turn on the device by pressing ON button. The display will show 0000.
    2. Press the UNIT button to select the measurement unit. The default setting is gram/g.
    3. Place the stylus on the measurement plate on the right side of the device. Display will start blinking. It will stop blinking when the measurement is completed. The value displayed on the screen is the stylus pressure.
    4. The display screen will automatically dim to saving mode after 5 seconds of inactivity and turn off after 60 seconds of inactivity.

    • Protect the device against high temperatures, dust and humidity
    • Carefully lower the measurement object on the measurement plate
    • Operating temperature range +10⁰ - +30⁰C
    • Do not place objects weighting more than 200 g on the measurement plate
    • Do not place the device on an uneven surface, it may result in not accurate measurements
