E-GLO II
E.A.T.'s E-Glo II is a state-of-the-art phono stage able to extract the ultimate performance from any cartridge it is asked to accommodate. The E-Glo II's vast array of features and capabilities enable it to deliver world-class audio at no compromise to aesthetics thanks to the chic, luxurious aluminium casing that perfectly complements the housing for the six tubes incorporated into the design.

E.A.T.'s E-Glo II is a cutting-edge phono stage designed to maximise the performance of any cartridge it accommodates. E-Glo II utilises an all-tube design with no semiconductors in its signal path, featuring four ECC83s and two ECC88s, which are commonly favoured by audiophiles. This design allows for easy availability of replacement tubes and encourages experimentation with different tubes to customise the sound to your liking, including EAT's premium offerings.

The fully balanced input stage includes a Lundahl step-up transformer with an amorphous core, type LL1932, providing a gain of 45db to further increase the output of your cartridge and improve the audio quality. The amplifier section of E-Glo incorporates a split, fully passive equalisation to further improve the efficiency of the phono preamplifier.

E-Glo II utilises high-quality components such as Mundorf output capacitors, WIMA capacitors, and Mundorf Connectors with Teflon insulation to ensure top-notch performance. It also offers capacitance loading for moving-magnet types in six user-switchable steps from 47pf to 900pF, as well as continuously adjustable loading resistance for moving-coil cartridges.

To ensure quiet operation, E-Glo II uses an external power supply with a custom-made toroid transformer featuring double shielding to prevent RFI interference. Separate power supplies are used to shield the mains transformer from electromagnetic radiation, along with special diodes, noise-suppressing resistors, high-quality electrolytic capacitors, a voltage regulator with a capacitor multiplier, and a FET transistor for the rectifying circuitry. Its heart is a custom-made toroid transformer. The transformer features double shielding between the primary and secondary windings. This avoids the intrusion of RFI, while acting as superior mains filter.

The visually appealing E-Glo II is housed in a slim chassis, with valves peeking through cleverly designed heat sinks resembling the spools of a reel-to-reel tape deck, now with the option to select the colour of the LED's illuminating the valves. It also features rows of switches on the front for quick access to all settings, eliminating the need to open the unit to adjust settings for your cartridge of choice.

  • Hybrid tube design with ECC83 & ECC88 tubes
  • MM & MC Compatibility
  • Fully passive, split equalisation stage
  • Adjustable impedance and capacitance
  • Fully balanced input stage featuring a Lundahl step-up transformer
  • High-quality components using Mundorf capacitors and connections

This product is no longer available to order and will not be coming back into stock.

In Stock products are those that are currently held in stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse. This stock status is updated regularly but is subject to change at very short notice.

Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.

Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.

Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.
