C-Sharp
The C-Sharp turntable from E.A.T. makes use of a traditional ‘frame design’ in combination with premium materials like carbon-fibre and TPE damping to provide a high-performing, solid source to play your records on. With high-end features throughout, the C-sharp can deliver audio playback far superior to available alternatives at this price.

Plinth

The base layer of the C-Sharp is made from low-profile, stable MDF, finished to a high standard, and houses the turntables motor system. Mounted within the base is an MDF/Carbon Fibre sandwich chassis that carries the tonearm and bears the weight of the high-mass platter. This sub-chassis layer is decoupled from the base by 10 TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) cones, for ultimate decoupling of the playback platform from the motor system.

An external DC powersupply unit with an AC Generator creates a totally clean power supply for the motor, and also gives convenient access to speed switching between 33 and 45 RPM.

Platter

The platter for the C-Sharp has been designed to add mass to the turntable and act as a further deterrence against unwanted vibrations from the motor. The platter employs a special alloy of inert aluminium, that is then damped by TPE, helping to keep any variances to a minimum.

The need for a mat is eliminated as the platter for the C-Sharp has a layer of vinyl melted on top, which assists in providing an optimal surface to play your vinyl, reducing any unwanted static and dust that is commonly attracted to felt mats. The C-Sharp also comes supplied with a low-mass aluminium record clamp to ensure a secure fit of the record during playback and provide you with the best listening experience possible

Tonearm

Due to the increased scale of the C-Sharp's main platter, the turntable has been fitted with E.A.T’s technically sophisticated 10-inch C-Note tonearm, which benefits from improved tracking of the record groove due to its longer length. The C-Note incorporates both aluminium and carbon-fibre into its unpivot design for increased rigidity along with dexterity, ensuring playback is smooth and any unwanted motor vibrations are not transported through to the cartridge.

The construction of carbon-fibre and aluminium used in the C-Note tonearm combines perfectly with the C-Sharp's own mix of carbon fibre and aluminium, providing not only improved anti-resonance properties, but a visually considered record player with a lasting impression.

Cartridge

The C-Sharp is offered with a pre-fitted Jo No.5 moving coil cartridge in the box. The Jo No.5 is manufactured using a unique process called Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), which processes thin layers of powder to build the final structure. The Jo No.5 is made with a nude fine line stylus that will provide you with great precision and detail, that will match the efficiency of the other components used.

If you would prefer, the C-Sharp is also available supplied without a cartridge.

The Key series by E.A.T. is an excellent introduction to the brand and the various principles incorporated into its turntables that make the range so sought after. With meticulous attention to build quality and detail, the Key series is a fantastic source of true musical enjoyment with deluxe aesthetics, providing a sense of reassurance and confidence in its quality.

Whilst many of the turntables on offer from E.A.T. focus on adding mass to the deck to add stability, the C-Sharp and C-Major take a slightly different approach. Instead, these models utilise a traditional frame design that incorporates an isolated sub-chassis into its build, assisting with decoupling the top layer of the turntable from the bottom. This helps to separate the components that make direct contact with the record from those that are crucial for the operation of the turntable, but in doing so, it also creates unwanted vibrations.

The C-Sharp goes beyond the norm by incorporating Hi-Fi principles. It uses an external A.C. generator to deliver a clean power source to the turntable and a heavy aluminium platter that provides a solid surface for your records. This advanced technology ensures a high-quality audio experience, keeping you informed and educated about the benefits of Hi-Fi principles.

Both the C-Sharp and C-Major turntables boast sleek, elegant aesthetics. The carbon-fibre sub-chassis, which perfectly matches the C-Note tonearm, adds a touch of sophistication. These turntables are not just for playing music but also for enhancing the visual appeal of your space, leaving you impressed and attracted to their design.
